A felony DUI kills your chance of ownership,if convicted – period.

Conditions following a non-felony DUI may prohibit ownership until all legal conditions are satisfied.

Hopefully. SUI (shooting while intoxicated) is much more dangerous than DUI.

haha, j/k. There’s no such thing as SUI. But at any rate, I certainly hope you can’t get a gun. But who knows. Maybe in some states where the NRA owns the legislature, you might be able to.

All state laws on handgun licenses are different.

In NYS it would likely prevent you from getting one.

That said, if you cant control your drinking, why should they expect you to be able to control a handgun.

Nobody in their right mind will likely give an individual like you a license to carry a lethal weapon.

Every state has different laws on the subject. Most will stop you at least temporarily. BTW, eat worms.
