I don’t know. im not here to lecture but i think if you have Dui you can not work either.
Im from California, but now i live in colorado.
There was this guy i knew he drove for the public transportation bus system. he was driving drunk in his personal car went to jail for the night got out in time to be at work on time and such, he worked for the week and by the end of the week the boss called him out and since he lost his License for his own car he also lost his CDL, suspended then fired in one week.
Yes you did a BIg mistake im sorry, you may get off easy with large fines and one yrs suspended driving. i would get a good lawyer not the one they throw at you provide by the courts but a real good one that will help you. being your First time offense. five thousand dollars in fines is a good negotiation better then jail time, and Way better then losing your license to drive your personal car or company car. Maybe you can even set aside 2 months or sometime in your schedule because sometimes they will let you do time in jail to make up for it im giving you options you can prepare for when having the rite lawyer. im sure on of those will come up IF this is your First offense.

I would suggest starting community service as well as doing a DUI class. you may even want to start going to a few AA meetings. try to get as much done before your court date All of this will show good faith towards the judge as well as the prosecutor.

I got an MIP (minor in possession) a few months ago and i did the DUI class and community service and they through my case out and didnt charge me with anything, i didn’t even have to pay court fees. this was in GA BTW
