    If this is your first DUI and you didn’t hurt anyone, don’t bother with a lawyer. The fines and punishments are set in stone. Politicians have trouble getting their friends out of DUIs.

    If it’s your second (or more) and/or you hurt someone else, definitely get a lawyer. List the city and state so that people can recommend someone in your area.
